Net-Tech teams with United Way for annual Day of Caring

Washington’s largest volunteer event is Sept. 13

Net-Tech, a Seattle-area Professional Technology Organization (PTO), is proud to sponsor United Way of King County’s (UWKC) annual Day of Caring slated for Friday, Sept. 13. The Day of Caring pulls together teams of volunteers from across Washington to help hundreds of King County nonprofits with projects. The 2018 event resulted in 10,500 volunteers completing 370 projects for 225 nonprofits – a labor value of over $1 million.

“Net-Tech is proud to sponsor and participate as volunteers in this event that means so much to our community,” said Matt Bratlien, Net-Tech managing partner. “We serve as UWKC’s Professional Technology Organization and work to help them grow while keeping costs in check so they can focus on their mission. This event is a huge part of that.”

UWKC’s Day of Caring is easily the largest day of volunteering in Washington state. Gardening, renovations and serving lunch are a few of the types of projects happening on Sept. 13. UWKC brings caring people together to give, volunteer and take action to help people in need and solve the community’s toughest challenges.
